A confessional is a stylistic device used in many realities. It is a type of aside, consisting of cutaways to a close-up shot of emotional discharge. Confessionals are used to provide narration, exposition, and commentary on ongoing action within the realities.

In Vampires and Violets Lesbians in Film by Andrea Weiss (1995), states [lesbian images in the cinema have been and continue to be virtually invisible]...[Cinema needs to repress lesbianism in order to give free rein to its endless variations on heterosexual romance].
This video work is in response of the idea of representation or non represenation, how “invisibility can foster visibility”, and how lesbian [”have looked to cinema, and specifically to these traces and signs, to create ways of being lesbian, to form and affirm their idenity as individuals and as a group.”]

Shall we sleep on this? is a durational exhibition that evolves as time passes.
The exhibition depicts moments when a consensus fails to be reached and tackles the psychological landscape when the line ‘Shall we sleep on this?’ enters such a scene.
